Nuclear Power Plants (NPP) are used for commercial energy generation. They work on a principle similar to that of a thermal plant. However, they use a different method for the formation of steam used to power turbines.

Nuclear plants use nuclear reactions of fission to release huge amounts of energy which are utilised for the conversion of water to steam. This steam is used to operate turbines which are then used to power a dynamo and generator.

This is how nuclear power plants work.

The motion of particles creates kinetic energy which creates heat and this heat is a form of energy which can be changed into various forms.

All of us know that thermal power plant consumes a huge amount of thermal energy apart from that there is various other application of thermal energy in our life.

Ships and steam engines are one of the most prominent examples of thermal energy. A stove is also an example of thermal energy .
