Our backbone contains 33 individual bones, known as vertebrae. The vertebrae are numbered and divided into regions: cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum, and coccyx..etc...

1.hyoid

2.cervical

3.thoracic

4.lumbar

5.sacral

6.coccyx


there are 26 vertebrae in adult human .
