India has always been lucky when it comes to trade throughout continental Asia. Bordering 7 countries known to mass produce raw materials, it has always been the center where all the trade routes passed through.

India itself has always produced and exported good quality raw material to far off Asian countries in Pacific Asia and the other South East Asian countries. Trade routes like the Silk Road and other small ones have contributed to India being well connected to other countries and making trade much easier. Trade is the main reason why India has a cultural linkage to other countries in Asia.
