Our education policy has changed after 34 years, but not to forget every coin has two sides hence NEP has many flaws in it. According to the new system, there will be no division of streams like science, arts, and commerce. Now, students can study any subject of their choice. As a result, the structure has changed, but students have to study the outdated syllabus only. The government has decided to spend 6 percent of GDP on education. Not from now, since 1964, the Kothari Commission recommended the allocation of 6 percent of GDP on education, till now, we are not able to achieve it. If we want to accomplish it then some, laws should be implemented as it is well known that wrong thinking is not a problem, implementation of wrong thinking is a problem. The policy does not reveal anything about the improvement of government schools and colleges which is happening. The national testing agency (NTA) has been established as a self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examination for admission in higher education. If the recruitment will be based on the NTA, then the board exams will be useless and should not be conducted. It is one of the biggest flaws in our education policy. NEP decided to convert all the collages into multidisciplinary. If we follow this policy, then the name and fame of specialized colleges like AIIMS, IIT, and FTA will fall. Currently, the government has determined to propose a breakfast meal. Till now, there have been unlimited mid-day meal scams, which is a topic of great concern and, the same will happen with the breakfast meal too. At last, I would like to conclude that changes in education policy are a major way to provide nation better students, but these changes should be effective and properly implemented otherwise, it is of no use.
