Fundamental rights are the basic freedoms given by the country to its citizens, in order to protect the social, political, ethical and economic standing of the citizens.

The statement that, "Our fundamental rights are not absolute or unlimited." is true in the following ways;

(i) The citizens have the right to express themselves, but there should be no hate speech according to the constitution.

(ii) The constitution gives the right to choose, however it also has to safeguard ethnic minorities.

(iii) The constitution gives freedom of speech but there is censorship as well.

(iv) People have the right to set up business but they have to follow certain requirements.

(v) Citizens have the right to contest elections, but the have to fulfill certain criterion.
