Our height increased only till a particular age even though tallness gene is present. Why is it so??

Despite the tallness gene the growth hormones stop being produced after a period of time after the adolescence . On an average after 18 yrs of age the depletion of the growth hormones begin as our body prepares for other changes
Adolescence is a period when the grown hormone is produced in the highest quantity but with age it does get depleted and this doesn’t have any influence because of the gene composition.
