• Our information about the medieval period is much more than the ancient period because there is availability of more written records of medieval period especially the secular ones. Besides the monuments of medieval period are intact which also give us more information of the period. The medieval kings used to record the events which was mostly absent during the ancient period.

• On the other hand the ancient sources whether written or archaeological are either damaged or non-extinct which give us very little information of the time. Besides the written records were mostly religious and they tell us very little about the other aspects of life.
