When the brain interprets senses from the world around us stimulus is created and this is called as perception. The needs and motives of individuals influence our perception. Let us give an example.

A person who is very hungry perceives or gets motivated watching food from among all other objects. His focus can never be taken to other things until his hunger is met by consuming food.

This is how needs and motives develop the perception of our brains.
