"Our role as citizens does not end with electing our representative." Explain.
Answers
Answer:
We don't only choose our representatives by elections but also create the government. Hence, indirectly we are the rulers. So, we need to keep a check on the government i.e. we have to check if any actions or decisions taken by the government are beneficial for the people of the country or not. Accordingly, we should criticize them whenever required. We protest against unjust laws and atrocities by organizing social and peaceful movements like dharnas, rallies, strikes, signature campaigns etc. That way we create awareness among people and government is questioned if they do something against the wishes of the people. Hence, our role as citizens does not end with electing our representatives, rather it begins.
