Our school should offer cooking classes for high school students. The school used to offer cooking classes for juniors and seniors, but we do not have those classes any more. Many students would like to learn how to cook so they are better prepared for life as adults. Cooking classes could also help students learn a practical use for math, since cooking involves using fractions.

Which statement is a reason the author could use to support the claim?

Answer:

I would say:

Cooking classes could also help students learn a practical use for math, since cooking involves using fractions.

Explanation:

It is a school you are trying to persuade and using examples you learn in the classroom would be a good idea.

However, you could argue the authour could use the statement, "Many students would like to learn how to cook so they are better prepared for life as adults." As it is genuinely a decnt reason.

Answer:well, many students could benefit from having a cooking class for many reasons. Learn to cook, eat healthy meals at school, learn math by learning the metric system, etc. It would be very beneficial to the school as well as students could have their class of cooking then they could sell what they cook and that money could be used for the schools so there’s no expenses to the school.
