Our stomach can digest meat and muscle .the stomach is also made up of muscle . Why don't we digest our own stomach ?

Who said it doesn't digest itself!?. Thats Exactly what happens when your stomach becomes ulcerated. In short there is a protective mucus layer containing bicarbonate and other substances that protect your stomach’s lining from the acid in it. This layer may be damaged due to including a bacteria called H. pylori, alcohol, smoking, pain killer drugs (NSAID’s), stress and more. Once this barrier is broke, the acid may reach the walls of your stomach causing ulcer.
