Our stomach produce HCl which has a very low pH value,hence highly acidic then why it does not harm the stomach? which antacid is used to protect our stomach from harm?

The pH of the hcl hydrochloric acid produced by stomach is 1.5.

This is highly acidic and harms the wall of the stomach.

But stomach wall is made of goblet cells whose lumen produces mucus that forms a lining of the stomach.

So due to the presence of mucous hydrochloric acid cannot harm the stomach wall.
