Stagnant water provides breeding ground to several form of insects especially to  mosquitoes. Mosquito acts as a vector for several diseases like malaria,Dengue,and yellow fever.If our  surrounding remains free from stagnant water ,mosquitoes will be able to breed and ultimately their  population will decrease .This will prevent the spread of insect born diseases.
