kaif60:
Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater, primarily from household sewage. Physical, chemical, and biological processes are used to remove contaminants and produce treated wastewater (or treated effluent) that is safer for the environment. A by-product of sewage treatment is usually a semi-solid waste or slurry, called sewage sludg

Sewage from households is taken to the treatment plant by underground sewage pipelines.
sewage reaches the collection tank of the STP where all untreatables such as rags, cotton pads,
plastic items, etc., are segregated and the sewage is then taken to the aeration tank where air is
blown to oxidise it to remove odor. Then it is taken to the sedimentation tank where micro solid particles settle down and then the sewage is let out into water bodies. A bio product by name BIOMAGIC when added to sewage, stops bad odor and turns it reusable after chlorination for
gardening, ground water recharging, etc.
