Step-by-step explanation:

Let us take the total number of students giving the exam be 100.

Let A=Number of Students that failed in

Maths=45

Let B-Number of Students that failed in Science=30

Now, A can contain the number of students that failed in Science as well.

Similarly, B can contain the no. of students that failed in Maths as well.

Hence, Subtract the common part in both them.

Therefore, Failures in only Mathematics-45-25-20

Also, Failures in only Science-30-25=5

Total No. Of Failures-20+5=25

Total No. Of Approved Students=100-25-75

%age of Approved Students=75%
