total number of people =1200

number of people who knows English= 800

number of people who knows Punjabi= 50

number of people who knows both =(total no. of people) - (sum of people who knows English and punjabi)

=(1200)-(800+50)

=1200-850

=350

350 people knows both english and punjabi

A) percentage of people who knows only english

 \frac{800}{1200} \times 100

by solving it we have

66.66666667% or 66.66%

B) percentage of people who knows both english and punjabi

 \frac{350}{1200} \times 100

by solving it we have

29.16%
