Solution:-

given,
let, travelled by bus = xkm
total distance = 1900km
travelled by airoplane = (1900-x)
total time = 5hours
bus speed = 60km/h
airoplane speed = 700km/h

time travelled by airoplane =(1900-x)/700

total time = x/60+(1900-x)/700

x/60-x/700 + 1900/700 = 5

(35x-3x)/2100 = 5-19/7

32x = 2100×(35-19)/7

32x = 300×16

x = 4800/32

x = 150

travelled by bus = 150km (ans)

Given:

Total distance = 1900 km

Distance by bus = bus km

Distance by airplane = ( 1900 - bus ) km

Total time = 5 hrs

Speed of the bus = 60 km / hr

Speed of the airplane = 700 km / hr

To find:

The distance traveled by bus.

Solution:

Time traveled in bus = Bus / 60

Time traveled in airplane = ( 1900 - bus ) / 700

Total time = Time traveled in bus + Time traveled in airplane

Total time = Bus / 60 + ( 1900 - Bus ) / 700

Substituting,

Bus / 60 - Bus / 700 + 1900 / 700 = 5

( 35 * Bus - 3 * Bus ) / 2100 = 5 - 19 / 7

32 * Bus = 2100 * ( 35 - 19 ) / 7

32 * Bus = 300 * 16

Bus = 4800 / 32

Hence,

Bus = 150 km
