Out of 1900 km. Vishal travelled some distance by bus and some by aeroplo 700 km/hr. It takes 5 hours to complete the journey. Find the distance, Vis Bus travels with average speed 60 km/hr and the average speed of acroplan travelled by bus.

Answer:

Hope this answer helps.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the total distance travelled by Vishal is 1900 km. Therefore let's assume the distance travelled by bus is x km. And the distance travelled by plane is (1900-x)km. Again we know the total time taken by him to complete the journey is 5 hrs.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Total distance= 1900 km

Let us take the distance travelled by bus= a

Distance travelled by Aeroplane= (1900-a) km

Total time taken= 5 hour

Let time take by bus be= b

Then, time taken by  aeroplane= (5-b) hrs.

We know the speed of the bus=  60 km/hrs.

And the speed of the aeroplane= 700 km/hrs.

Distance= Speed* time

Distance travelled by the bus= 60* b  ------------( as time=b)

                           distance (a)  = 60b   ---------------  eq 1

So Distance travel by aeroplane= 700*(5-b)

                         Distance (1900-a) = 700*(5-b)

       (1900-a) =700*(5-b)

     (1900- 60b) = 700*(5-b)  ------- putting the value of (a) distance from eq 1

      1900- 60b= 3500- 700b

      700b-60b = 3500-1900 --------  shifting like terms

            640b = 1600

                  b=  1600/640

                  b= 2.5

Putting the value of b in eq 1

Distance of bus (a)= 60b

                          a = 60*2.5

                          a= 150.0

Hence, the distance travelled by the bus (a) = 150km

Hope this helps you
