Out of 1900 km, Vishal travelled some distance by bus and some by aeroplane. Bus travels with average speed 60 km/hr and the average speed of aeroplane is 700 km/hr. It takes 5 hours to complete the journey. Find the distance, Vishal travelled by bus. Solve this word problem

Solution:-
Let the distance travelled by Bus be x
So,
Time taken by Bus=
 =  >  \frac{x}{60}
Time taken by plane =1900-x
Time taken=
 =  >  \frac{(900 - x)}{700}

 =  >  \frac{x}{60}  +  \frac{(900 - x)}{700}  = 5 \\  =  >  \frac{x}{60}   -  \frac{x}{700}  =  \frac{16}{7}
 =  > x =  \frac{16}{7}  \times  \frac{525}{8}  \\  =  > x = 150km
Hence,the Distance travelled by Bus=150km
