Given,

Total number of voters= 24,000

Percentage voted= 48%

To find,

Number of not voted= ?

Solution,

We can find the solution for this problem by the following steps,

Given that,

Total number of voters= 24,000

Percentage voted        = 48%

i.e.,

48 % of 24,000 voters voted.

Therefore,

Number of voted          = 24000 × \frac{48}{100}

                                      = 11520

Percentage not voted  = 100-48

                                      = 52%

Number of not voted    = Total Number of voters × \frac{Percentage-not-voted}{100}

                                      =24000 × \frac{52}{100}

                                      = 12,480

Or

Number of not voted  = Total number of voters- Number of voted

                                    = 24000- 11520

                                    = 12,480 voters

Thus, the number of voters who did not vote are 12,480 out of 24,000 voters in this constituency.
