Question:-

Out of 250 chairs in an auditorium ,100 chairs are plastic and rest are wooden. find the ratio of total chairs to wooden chairs.

Given:-

  • No. of Total chairs in auditorium is 250.
  • No. of plastic chair is 100

To find:-

  • Ratio of plastic chairs to wooden chairs.

First we will find the number of wooden chairs.

No.of wooden chairs= Total no.of chairs - no.of plastic chair

  \red \longrightarrow \bf250 - 100 = 150

  • Therefore the number of wooden chair is 200.

Now, we will find the ratio.

 \sf  ratio =  \frac{no.of \: total \: chairs}{no.of \: wooden \: chairs}

 \red \longrightarrow \:  \frac{250}{150}  =  \frac{25}{15}  =  \frac{5}{13}

 \pink{ \longrightarrow} \: 5 \ratio3

Therefore the ratio is 5:3
