Given,

To Find,

The percentage of students that are absent =?

Solution,

It is given that 6 students are absent out of 30.

We know, that the percentage of a quantity of given as:

% = \frac{X}{Y} * 100

Where X = Decrease in quantity

             Y = Total quantity

In the given question, the decrease in quantity is equal to 6 as 6 students were absent. The total quantity if 30.

X = 6, Y = 30

Substituting the values in the formula,

%= \frac{6}{30} *100

Hence, 20% of the total students are absent.
