Step-by-step explanation:

pepsi liked by students=1/8= 40*1/8=5

coke liked by students=3/4=40*3/4=30

mirinda liked by students=2

and some not liked by students=X

so,

5+30+2+X=40

X=40-37

x=3

hence 3 students didn't like any drink

Given :

  • Total No. of. Students = 40

  • Pepsi = 1 / 8

  • Coke = 3 / 4

  • Mirinda = 2

To find :

  • How many students did not like any Drink.

According to the question :

Let People who don't like any Drinks be

' x '

We will multiply each Fraction with Total No. of. Students

⟹ Pepsi = 1 / 8 × 40 = 5

⟹ Coke = 3 / 4 × 40 = 30

⟹ Mirinda = 2

Solving :

⟹ Pepsi + Coke + Mirinda + x = Total No. of. Students

⟹ 5 + 30 + 2 + x = 40

⟹ 37 + x = 40

⟹ x = 40 - 37

x = 3

Students who did not like any Drink are 3.

So It's Done !!
