out of 5 numbers average of first four no is 15 and the average of ladt four number is 13.also last no is 18.what is the first no?

Yasu11: The average of first 3 = 16 The average of last 3 = 15 The last number =18 Solution:- Sum of Last 3 numbers= 15*3=45 Hence the last number is 18 So, Sum of 2nd & 3rd = 45-18= 27 Again sum of first three numbers =16*3=48 Therefore the 1st number will be: sum of 1st 3 number-sum of 2nd & 3rd number i.e. 48-27=21

So the answer is 21.

average of first 4 numbers =15
Sum of first 4 numbers =4×15=60

average of last 4 numbers =13

Sum of last 4 numbers =4×13=52

y+3x=60
18+3x=52
3x=52-18=34
y=60-34=26

first number is 26
