out of 50 bulbs in a box 10 are defective. one bulb is taken out at random from the box. what is the probability that the bulb drawn is not defective ?

Heya..

Total no of balls = 50

=) Total no of defective bulbs = 10

=) Total no of not defective bulbs = 50 - 10

= 40

Since Probability of any observation = No of observations / Total No of observations

=) P = 40/50

=) P = 4/5.

probability=no. of favourable outcomes/total no. of outcomes
therefore probability=40/50=4/5
