Heya

Total outcomes = 600

Favourable outcomes of getting non - defective bulb = 600 - 12 = 588

P(x) = Favourable outcomes / Total outcomes

P(getting non - defective bulb) = 588/600

Hope this helps.

Hey,

There are total 600 bulbs and Out of 600 bulbs 12 are defective.

So there are total 588 non defective bulbs.

The Probability that the bulb is a non defective bulb is 0.98

 = \frac{588}{600} \\ = 0.98

hope it helps u ^-^
