now, twice the square root of the number of the employees = 2√x
half the number = x/2
remaining =6
so the equation will be
2√x + x/2 +6 =x
squarring both sides
16x = x^2 -24x +144
x^2 -40x +144=0
(x-36)(x-4)=0
now x= 4 is not possible as total no. of employees cant be < 6
so total no. of employes = 36
