let the total monkeys be = m²
monkeys lurching on the tree = 7m/2
remaining monkeys = m² - 7m/2
acc. to ques.
m² - 7m/2 = 2
2m² -7m -4 = 0
2m²-8m+m-4 = 0
(2m+1)(m-4) = 0
so, m = 4
total monkeys = 16
monkeys moving on the ground = 2
% of monkeys on the ground = (2/16)x100 %
= 12.5%
