Out of a number of birds ,one-fourth of the number are moving about lotus plants 1 upon 9th along with 1 upon 4th as well as 7 times the square root of the number movesbon a hill 56 birds remain in vakula trees .what is the total number of birds

Let the number of birds be x2 Number of birds moving about lotus plant =x24

Number of birds coupled along = x29+x24

Number of birds moves on hill =7x2−−√=7x

Number of birds remaining on trees = 56 Now,

x24+x24+x29+7x+56=x2

=> =>11x218+7x+56=x2

=>7x+56=7x218

=>x+8=x218

=> x2 -18x -144 = 0

=> x2 - 24x +6x -144 = 0

=> x(x-24) +6(x-24) = 0

=> (x-24)(x+6) = 0

x = 24 or -6

so Number of birds = 242 = 576

=x/9 + x/4 + 7root x

number of birds in vakula trees =56

according to given condition.

total number of birds =x/4 + x/9 + x/4 + 7root x +56

after solving the equation you will get x=36 and x=576.

so x cannot be 36 because birds in bazula tress are 56 .

so total no.of birds is 576.
