Given data :

Rohit purchased coloured tv among the total coloured tv available in that shop= 60%

Defective piece of the coloured tv he bought = 5%

Let,the total pieces of coloured tv = x ( assume,x = variable to find the percentage of the defective tv percentage in all )

So, purchased pieces of coloured tv by Rohit = x ×60/100 = 3x/5

Defective pieces among the bought coloured tv by Rohit = 3x/5 × 5/100 = 3x/100

Percentage with the respect of total pieces of the coloured tv = {100×(3x/100)/x} = {100× (3x/100 × 1/x)} = (100× 3/100) = 3%

So,the percentage of the total defective pieces of coloured in all is 3%. (Answer)
