out of CCl4 and SiCl4 which one react with water and why?

sicl4 and ccl4 both will react but in sicl4 rate of reaction is fast as si is large in size and have d orbit
Another factor is that silicon is a less electronegative element than carbon, so that the Si-Cl bonds will have more polar character.
