out of her total income Mrs jhonson spends 30%on house rent and 60% of the rest on household expenditure.If she saves rs.500,what is her total income​

let her total income be X .

Then, money spent on house rent = 30% of X

=> 3x/10

Money spent on household expenditure = 60% of X

=> 6x/10

=> 3x/5

Money saved = Rs. 500

According to the question:-

=> 3x/10+3x/5 + 500 = x

=> 3x + 6x + 5000 / 10 = X

=> 9x + 5000/10 = X

=> 9x + 5000 = 10x

=> 5000 = 10x - 9x

=> x = 5000

Hence the total Income of Mrs. Jhonson is Rs. 5000 .
