let total income of Mr Rajesh is = x

spent on house rent = 20% = 20x/100

house hold expenditure = 70% = 70x/100

saving = 3600

x \:  =  \frac{20x}{100}  +  \frac{70x}{100}  + 3600 \\ x \:  =  \frac{2x}{10}  +  \frac{7x}{10}  + 3600 \\ x \:  =  \frac{2x + 7x + 36000}{10}  \\ 10x = 9x + 36000 \\ 10x - 9x = 36000 \\ x = 36000

total income of Mr Rajesh is Rs. 36000/month
