if x is the total amount the person had,
to his son he gave x/3
to his daughter he gave 3(x-x/3)/4
still he had Rs. 30000
from the above we can form an equation
x-x/3-3(x-x/3)/4=30000
therefore, x=Rs.180000
to his son he gave x/3
to his daughter he gave 3(x-x/3)/4
still he had Rs. 30000
from the above we can form an equation
x-x/3-3(x-x/3)/4=30000
therefore, x=Rs.180000
