the answer is option C .

kakoburaman: please explain how
tracker31: In the case of molarity M -- volume is involved in its calculation which is a temperature dependent factor. so molarity is temperature dependent. Now in the case of both molality and mole fraction, there are no temperature dependent factors like volume and density. The main factor involved in both molality and mole fraction is mass which is temperature independent. so molality and mole fraction are temperature independent values.

Answer:

The correct answer is C) m,x .

Explanation:

Molality is the ratio of moles of solute by kg of solvent.

m= \frac{moles of solute}{kg of solvent}

Mole fraction is the ratio of moles of solute /solvent by total moles of solution.

mole_{solute}= \frac{moles of solute}{Total moles of solution}

mole_{solvent}= \frac{moles of solvent}{Total moles of solution}

Both molality and mole fraction are independent of temperature as the values of this does not depend on volume.

Whereas, formality and molarity depend on volume and thus are dependent on temperature.
