-Hey there!

-Here is the answer for your question :

  1. Out of Sodium and Sulfur, Sodium is the metal.
  1. Since, sodium is a very reactive metal, it tends to react with oxygen to form sodium oxide but this is an unstable compound and soon reacts with hydrogen to form sodium hydroxide.
  1. 4Na + O2 = 2Na2O (sodium oxide)

Out of sodium and Sulphur, Sodium is a metal.

Its reaction with Oxygen:

Sodium reacts with Oxygen to form sodium oxide.

=>4Na+O2----->2Na2O

Since, sodium is an extremely reactive metal, the sodium oxide formed is unstable and reacts with hydrogen to form Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH).
