THE ATOMIC RADIUS OF ELEMENT y WOULD BE GREATER BECAUSE

IN A NEUTRAL ATOM

ATOMIC NUMBER=NUMBER OF ELECTRONS

AND IN THIS CASE THERE ARE MORE NUMBER OF ELECTRONS WHICH WILL RESULT INTO MORE NUMBER OF COMPLETED SHELL

IN X ITS ELECTRONIC CONFIGURATION=2 8 8

WHILE IN THAT OF Y IT IS 2 8 8 2

IT MEANS THAT Y HAS MORE NUMBER OF SHELLS SO ITS ATOMIC RADIUS IS ALSO LARGER THAN X

PLZ MARK IT BRAINLIST
