Out of three radiations of wavelengths 8000A, 5000A, 1000A, which one corresponds to Lyman series of hydrogen spectrum? Support the answer with calculations.
please answer only if you know. don't just type something for points..!!

Answer:

n1 - 1 for lymen Series

n2 - 2

Then wavelength = 1216A°

n2-3

Then By rydeberg Formula

1/lemda = RZ^2 [ 1/n1^2 - 1/n^2]

lemda = 1000A°

the Lyman series is a hydrogen the Lyman series is a hydrogen spectral series of transitions and resulting ultraviolet emission lines of the hydrogen atom as an electron goes from n ≥ 2 to n = 1 (where n is the principal quantum number), the lowest energy level of the electron.

Lamda 1000 A corresponds to Lyman series in the ultra violet region.
