Given, outer dimensions of the box are 10 cm, 8 cm and 7 cm.
Also given that, thickness of wood is 1 cm and cost of 1 cm³ of wood is ₹2.00.
Therefore, inner dimensions would be - 8 cm, 6 cm and 5 cm respectively ( as 1 cm has been reduced from both the sides )
Therefore, volume held by outer dimensions = 10×8×7 cm³ = 560 cm³.
And, volume held by inner dimensions = 8×6×5 cm³ = 240 cm³.
Therefore, amount of wood required is = (560 - 240) cm³ = 320 cm³.
As 1 cm³ of wood costs ₹ 2.00,
320 cm³ of wood would cost ₹ 2×320 = ₹ 640
