Insulin is a hormone in the body which removes glucose from the blood streams to the cells for further metabolism.

However, excessive amounts of glucose is eliminated through the urine.

If high concentration of glucose is detected in the urine samples during a pathological test, it can indicate that the person is suffering from diabetes.

In a pathological test, the glucose is detected using a Dipstick, which is based on the glucose oxidase – peroxidase biochemical reaction.
