Over the course of an 8 hour day, 3.8x104 C of charge passes through a typical computer (presuming it is in use the entire time). Determine the current for such a computer.

Given :

Charge passing {q=3.8}×10^{4} C = 38000 C

time of passing {t=8 hours}  = 8×60×60 = 28800 s

To find :

Current (I) = ?

Solution:

Current for computer I = \frac{q}{t}

I = \frac{38000}{28800}

{I = 1.32 A}

Hence the current passing through the computer is 1.32 A
