The four different regions of an oviduct are: -
- Infundibulum :- The infundibulum is the most anterior segment of the oviduct, which is organized in several longitudinal folds in the coelomic cavity.
- Uterine Tube: - The uterine tube is a small region between the terminal portion of the infundibulum and the beginning of the uterus.
- Uterus: - The uterine wall has numerous folds. From an anatomical point of view, it corresponds to the thickest area of the whole oviduct.
- Vagina: - The vagina is the final region of the oviduct. The vaginal mucosa is organized into folds that increase in size as they approach the cloaca.
