Answer:
(f) justify the title of the story
Explanation:
Lob is referred to as "Sandy's dog" multiple times in order to emphasize the close relationship between Lob and his owner. The title "Lob's Girl" shows this relationship from Lob's perspective. He is Sandy's dog, and Sandy is Lob's girl.

The title of the story is Lob's Girl because:
- The title of the story is “Lob’s Girl”. It is very appropriate as Lob had chosen Sandy as his owner. He risked a four hundred mile walk two times to be with her. He had appeared to help in the recovery of Sandy supernaturally after his death. It is Lob who was devoted to his owner, Sandy thus we can state that the title makes more sense in the devotion that is seen of lob towards sandy in all the phases of life.
- The bond between Sandy and Lob was inseparable. When Lob was taken away by his owner, Lob took a really risky four hundred mile walk and that too two times. This separation was natural. Lob was killed as he was hit by a speeding truck. After his death, Lob visited Sandy who was in critical condition at the hospital. This shows us the devotion towards his owner even after death.
- Before Lob’s visit Sandy’s condition was very critical. At the sound of Lob’s whine, Sandy stirred and opened her eyes. This also shows the affection that lob had towards his owner even during such critical condition. Thus, the title of the story is justified.
