OXIDATION : Oxidation is the process of oxidising or being oxidised or removal of hydrogen.

REDUCTION : Reduction is the addition of hydrogen or removal of oxygen.

Oxidisation in other words is the losing of electrons or donating electrons to the atom of other element by the the atom of one element. While the reduction is the accepting of electrons from an atom.
