When oxidation and reduction process ocuurs simultaneously then the process is called as redox reaction...
Gain of electron is called reduction
Loss of electron is called oxidation..

In redox reaction while one compound losses electron then that electron is accepted by another compound...
Hope it is justified now
If you got satisfactory answer then please mark it as branliest... stay blessed dear

HOLA!!

HERE WE GO

REDOX REACTION:

Redox reaction is a reaction in which both oxidation and reduction reaction takes place simultaneously.

IN Redox Reaction , one element will be oxidised and another will be reduced.

EXAMPLE

CO2+ H2 -------> CO + H2O

Here you could see in the LHS CO2 is oxidised and in RHS CO is reduced as you could see reduction in oxygen number in RHS

HOPE IT HELPS YOU :)
