Hey dear ,
Down Here.
---------------------------------------------
Oxidation no. of Hydrogen = +1
Oxidation no. of Oxygen = -2
Now,
Since H2SO3 is charge less.
Therefore,
H2 SO3 = 0
1(2) + S(1) + -2(3) = 0
2 +S - 6 = 0
S - 4 = 0
S = +4
Thus oxidation no. of Sulphur in H2SO3 is +4.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope it helps....
