Balancing K3 = +3 against this we have -6 + 3 = -3 for cyanide. To balance this Fe is required to have +3 which is the oxidation state of Fe. The oxidation number of K is +1; here 3 K are found so oxidation number of K3 is +3. So oxidation number of remaining [Fe (CN)6] is -3.
