the most common oxidation state of chromium are +6, +3,and +2.

hello friend..!!

now let us calculate oxidation state of Cr 

it is given that K2[Cr(CN)2(O)2(NH3)]

let us consider Cr as X ,  therefore 

2( 1) + x + 2 ( -1 ) +  ( -2 ) + 0 = 0

implies ,

x = 2 

therefore the oxidation state of Cr is 2
