oxygen does not conduct electricity because of covelent bond between the oxygen atoms..

Oxygen (O<sub>2</sub>) dose not conducts electricity in its gaseous, solid and liquid states because of the covalent bonding.

However, when ionised (O<sup>2-</sup> it will conduct electricity.
