Oxygen gas inside a 1.5 gas tank has a pressure of 0.95 atm provided that the temperature remain constant, if the pressure increases to 1.9 atm what will be the volume of the gas?

gas is inversely proportional to its volume at a constant

temperature. "

The equation representing Boyle's law is P1V1 = P2V2

P1 and P2 represent intial and final pressure and V1 and V2 represent the initial and final volume.

Intial pressure given in the question is 0.95 atm.

The intial volume is 1.5 l and the final volume is 1/2 of its value thus, 0.75l.

keeping values in the formula,

0.95*1.5 = P2*0.75

P2 = 1.9 atm

Thus, new pressure will be 1.9 atm.
